Super Eagles Head Coach, Jose Peseiro has decided to keep his cards on his first-choice goalkeeper for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to himself.

He beefed up the department by naming Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili in his squad for the AFCON.

Francis Uzoho and Olorunleke Ojo are the other goalkeepers in the team.

The three of them were in action in the team’s friendlies against Al Gharib and Guinea.

“Stanley played, I can’t say for anyone who the first 11 are, I will decide against Equatorial Guinea,” Peseiro declared.

The Super Eagles will take on Equatorial Guinea in their opening game on Sunday, 14th January 2024.
