UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert to Feature Davido

By Reporter 2

The 66th Academy Grammy Awards are coming up, and the UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert will include Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido.

The performance, starring Davido, Dominican artist Tokischa, and South Africa-based DJ Artist Uncle Waffles, is slated to take place at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, February 2, 2024, before the awards ceremony on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Crypto Com Arena in Los Angeles.

This was announced on Thursday, January 11, 2024, by UnitedMasters on its Instagram page.

The concert drew over 2,500 attendees the previous year and featured an impressive lineup of celebrities, including Future, Damson Idris, Jay Z, Beyoncé, DJ Khaled, Wiz Khalifa, and Nas.

The achievement of Davido’s return album, “Timeless,” reaching one billion streams, has been a major highlight of his recent triumph.

The record was not only well-received but also received three Grammy nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Best Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Global Music Album.

Reacting to his Grammy nomination, Davido stressed tenacity in the face of delays, especially given the earlier acknowledgment of his contemporaries, Burna Boy and Wizkid, by the academy.

In October, Atlanta and Georgia honored Davido by bestowing him with honors and setting aside special days for him.

Atlanta announced November 18, 2023, as Davido’s Day, while Fulton County, Georgia, designated November 21, 2023, as Davido Appreciation Day.
