Ogun State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Kunle Oluomo has been reportedly impeached during the plenary sitting on Tuesday, 23 January 2024.

Oluomo has been entangled in allegations ranging from financial fraud and leadership tussle at the State Assembly.

His impeachment may not be unconnected to the many allegations against him.

In his place, Hon Oludaisi Elemide has been appointed as the new speaker.
