TRW Consult Kicks off 2024 Internship Programme

The Ready Writers Consult, the writing and editorial division of TRW Consult, has commenced its internship programme for the year 2024.
The training which started on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, with about 40 participants who were shortlisted out of 140 applicants. The participants will undergo a rigorous training regime on different forms of professional writing for a period of four months.
The internship programme, which is now in its fourth stream, is part of TRW Consult’s social responsibility initiatives aimed at equipping the Nigerian youth and current players in the communication space in the country with the foundational skills of writing as a springboard to diverse careers in the humanities and digital technology.
With trainers drawn locally and internationally, some of the topics to be covered include Expository, Narrative & Persuasive Writing, Writing for the Web, Features Writing, Academic/Research Writing, News Reporting, Business Writing, Copywriting, Writing for Brand & PR Campaigns, among others. Some of the trainers include Babatunde Oladele (US) Wale Oni, PhD (UK), Brian Orji (World Bank), Kunle Shittu (Ads Exec) Seyi Gesinde (Nigerian Tribune) Tope Templer Olaiya (Guardian), Samuel Adeyemi (Media DNA) and a host of others.
Apart from learning from the experts who will be handling different topics during the internship, the participants will also learn from each other in intense peer review sessions and get to put to practice some of the lessons they have learnt almost immediately as they work with the host organisation.
