Suspected herdsmen have reportedly sacked Adijah Community in Ugbokpo, Apa Local Government Area of Benue State, on Thursday afternoon, 15 February 2024, with several people killed and others injured.

It was learned that the attackers stormed the village, which is located a few kilometers away from the Otukpo-Oweto Road, and opened fire on residents, killing an unspecified number of villagers.

One of the community members told reporters that residents have fled to neighbouring villages.
