Former Chelsea star, Chris Sutton blasted Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag, saying the Dutchman has no future with Man Utd. He stated this after his comments following the Manchester derby.

Recall that a brace from Phil Foden and one goal from Erling Haaland made Man City defeat United at Etihad on Sunday, 3 March 2024, as Marcus Rash Ford’s stunning goal was not sufficient.

When speaking at his post-match, Ten Hag praised his side’s performance as he argued they defended ‘brilliantly’ and could have won the game against Pep Guardiola’s side.

However, Chris Sutton was not satisfied with Ten Hag’s comments.

He said on Mail Sport’s It’s All Kicking Off podcast: “Erik ten Hag is deluded.”

“I think Man United have done a full circle under him. In his first Manchester derby, they lost 6-3 and I predicted a cricket score that day and I went for that again yesterday.”

“If I were a Man United fan, I would be questioning what the manager is saying and the way the team is playing.”

“The truth is, I don’t think anyone sees a future for Erik ten Hag [at United] beyond this season.”
