Tragedy struck on Friday, 22 March 2024, at Nasarawa State University, Keffi as two students have been reportedly trampled to death and many injured while struggling to have access to the palliative being distributed at the institution’s Convocation Arena.

The State Government had provided the palliative to the students to cushion the effect of subsidy removal in the country by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Sule had recently flagged off the distribution of palliative to students in the State tertiary institutions.

According to an eye witness, those injured were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi for medical treatment.
