The immediate past Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai visited the former Head of State, Gen.Yakubu Gowon (rtd) at his residence in Abuja on Tuesday, 26 March 2024.

El-Rufai who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), had earlier met with leaders of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), for the second time.The second visit lent credence to the rumors that the former governor was planning to dump the ruling party.

El-Rufai was pictured at the Abuja residence of Senator Abubakar Gada, along with SDP chairman Shehu Musa Gabam and other party leaders.

Also said to be present at the meeting were Senator Teslim Folarin, APC, gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State in the 2023 general elections, and Senator Nazif Suleiman, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from Bauchi State.
