Eid el Fitr: Zamfara NSCDC Deploys 700 Personnel

By Reporter 2

In anticipation of Eid el Fitr, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Zamfara State Command, has dispatched over 700 members to various places of worship and leisure around Zamfara State.

According to the State Commandant of the Corps, Mr A. A Sparks, represented by the Deputy Commandant of Operations, Mr B B Bodinga, the Corps plans the deployment to guarantee that the celebration of Salah is carried out smoothly and without incident. “We’ll do everything in our power to keep the state secure,” he said. He warned any thugs and miscreants plotting mayhem to leave the state because Zamfara State is no longer a shelter for criminals.

According to the Commandant, who spoke through the Head of Operations, “the female Arms Squad and the Rapid Response Squad have been informed and deployed appropriately to begin patrol before, during, and after the holiday periods.”

He added that the Corps’ intelligence section had properly manned all motor parks and bus stops to restrict passenger movement. “The Corps has also been deployed extensively to provide security coverage at the various Eid el Fitr grounds during the Sallah periods.”

Furthermore, the State Commandant wished all Muslim faithful a joyful Eid el Fitr celebration early and congratulated them on a successful conclusion to Ramadan.
