Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has stated that Victor Osimhen will be a good replacement for Mohamed Salah. According to the report, Salah could be a target for Saudi Pro League clubs this summer, as the Reds consider his future.
Reigning Saudi champions, Al-Ittihad made a reported £150 million offer for Egypt International last September 2023. It was also reported that another Saudi club, Al Hilal are also now reportedly interested in the former Chelsea player.
Nicol has urged his former club to bring in Osimhen as Salah’s replacement.
“The fact that Salah will leave, regardless of whether it will be this year or next. I think Osimhen would be fantastic for Liverpool,” Nicol told ESPN. Osimhen is expected to leave Serie A champions, Napoli this summer.
He has already been linked with other Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal.
