Veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji disclosed that he suffered from amnesia before surgery. Recall that after he slumped in the restroom, the actor just had two brain surgeries.

Orji claimed to have been in a coma for five and a half hours during an interview with Channels TV on Sunday, 21st April 2024. “After passing out, all I can say is that I’m only alive today by God’s grace,” He recounted, “I was out for about five and a half hours before help came.”

Zack Orji stated that Labista and Benedict Johnson, two of his coworkers, came to his house right away and “lifted me on their shoulders from the second floor to the ground floor and took me to the National Hospital.”

He also stated that although the initial surgery was done on January, 1st 2024, he had another operation one month later when scans showed that there was still a blood clot.

He declared, “I was unable to identify people before the surgery.” I couldn’t recall some of the people who visited me in the hospital; I didn’t even realize they were there, even though we had a conversation. It was my wife, who informed me about the guests.

But the first thing I asked myself after the surgery was, ‘What day are we today?’ my wife said, “New Year’s Day.” I began wishing everyone a happy new year. My wife said that’s when she realized I was back.
