“Don’t Blame Tinubu for Nigeria’s Economic Challenges” says Kalu
By Reporter 2
Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is not to blame for Nigeria’s current economic challenges. Kalu made this statement on Sunday, 5 May 2024, after entertaining widows, orphans, people with disabilities, and the elderly people at his home in Abia State to mark his 53rd birthday.
In response to queries from the media, the Deputy Speaker stated that Tinubu is working hard to undo the errors of the previous administrations that caused the current economic issues. “This man is not to blame for the economic challenges we are facing. The case involves the mishandling of one or two issues by past administrations.”
“We can’t keep living in deception and believing everything is fine. In order for us to have a sustainable way of life, Tinubu wishes to make the area clean. Let’s continue to help and motivate him, Kalu remarked.” In addition, he predicted that the current turmoil would give way to a better future for the country and urged Nigerians to keep believing in their current leaders.
The Deputy Speaker, further stated that “it is wicked to hoard wealth or live in luxury while others are impoverished. Given the state of hunger in the country, what purpose is it to store goods in a warehouse? Why wait until the election period?
“Neither the political party nor the religion interest me. If you are up, reach out to people who are down. That is the color of humanity that interests me. Let’s spread love, peace and unity, showing others that we care irrespective of their background or political affiliation.”
