As part of the Democracy Day celebrations, President Bola Tinubu will address Nigerians via a nationwide broadcast. This was confirmed in a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity on Tuesday, 11 June 2024.

Ngelale stated that Tinubu will address Nigerians at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. According to him, Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority ( NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.
