By Reporter 2

The Federal Government has declared Monday, June 17th, and Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 as public holidays to commemorate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration. Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, said in a statement released on Friday, 14 June 2024, in Abuja that the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government.

Gogo stated that the Minister congratulated the Muslim Ummah both at home and in the Diaspora on this occasion. Tunji-Ojo urged the Ummah to continue to internalize the spirit of peace, kindness, and sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim as well as to use the occasion to pray for our country’s unity, prosperity, and stability.

“The Minister reassured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s administration is devoted to protecting their lives and property. While wishing the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-ul-Adha celebration, the Minister advised all Nigerians to take responsibility in the resolve to hand over a prosperous Nigeria to our children”, the statement continued.
