IPOB: “ESN did not Kidnap anyone or seek a Ransom of N20 Million”

By Reporter 2

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) announced on Friday, 21 June 2024, that its militia arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), does not engage in kidnapping for ransom demands. IPOB denied charges made by a Taraba-based organization that ESN operatives kidnapped several people and sought N20 million ransom.

According to Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesman, on June 13th, 2024, the public, particularly Biafrans, were alarmed by viral videos of foreign and local Fulani terrorists in Biafraland carrying various charms and weapons in the middle of the night who were intercepted by gallant ESN operatives.

“These Fulani terrorists admitted that they were forced to camp at a certain place in Biafraland. They admitted that some terrorists are already on the ground in Biafraland, and others will arrive soon.

“Their mission is to destabilize Biafraland. After ESN Operatives investigated the terrorists, they were given the appropriate treatment they deserved and were evicted from carrying out their attack in Biafraland. The so-called Taraba indigenes should seek for their terrorist brethren in one of the North’s forests. They were removed from Biafraland and returned to their homeland. The terrorists are not in ESN’s custody.

“The alleged story that certain Taraba indigenes claimed that ESN murdered three of their brothers and demanded N20 million ransom to liberate the remaining nine is false. The Taraba indigenes claimed that the persons intercepted by ESN in the middle of the night on June 12th, 2024, were fishermen.” Powerful, portrayed ESN agents as well-trained and disciplined vigilantes tasked with removing rampaging Fulani terrorists from Biafran land.
