“We are no longer Doing Party, We’re on a Movement” – Fubara

By Reporter 2

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has announced that the State under his watch is based not on party allegiance but on a revolutionary movement of being with the truth. He addressed the Senate Committee on Privatisation and Commercialisation, chaired by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, in Port Harcourt, the State Capital.

The Governor said he would not be distracted by the deliberate blackmail and sabotage directed against his government. He added that, despite being the most abused Governor in the country, he had purposefully suffered such insults to remain focused on delivering democratic dividends in the State, warning that those scheming to cause a crisis in the State would fail.

Fubara stated, “In our State now, we are no longer doing party. We’re working on a movement, so don’t blame me if I don’t lean too far toward the party. “The party has failed us here, so what we are doing here is to stand with our two legs on the soil of Rivers State so that we can defend democracy.”
