Security Operatives Rescued Kidnapped Medical Students

Sources close to the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) have disclosed that 20 medical students kidnapped in Benue State have been rescued. Reliable sources in the NSA office confirmed this to Channels Television on Friday, August 23, 2024.

The operation was coordinated by the NSA. Security agencies involved in the rescue mission include the Nigerian police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and military personnel with the support of the Benue State Government.

Earlier, the Police deployed helicopters to rescue abducted medical students.

It was earlier reported on August 16, 2024, that gunmen abducted over 20 medical and dental students and a house officer in Benue State.
