Collapsed Building In Lagos Injures 23, Claimed Lives of 2

Three-storey Building collapsed, injured 23 citizens, and claimed the lives of 2 persons on Saturday morning in the Ojodu Berger area of Lagos.

This was made known by Daily Trust on the 19th of April, 2025.

The Number of persons affected by the incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Command coupled with the fact that the two deceased persons were workers in the said Three-story Building.

Benjamin Hundeyin, The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP, confirmed the incident by adding that the Agency Response team arrived at the scene by 9:52 that Saturday morning, where they discovered that the 3-story building housing restaurant and bar had collapsed with several victims trapped inside.

According to him, 8 victims were rescued while one of the rescued victims was given intensive medical care and attention.

Oke-Osanyitolu, a journalist at the scene of the incident, said emergency responders would “get to ground zero” to search for other victims still buried under the rubble.

According to Daily Trust, a regular visitor to the restaurant claimed that the building has been showing signs of distress.
