By Reporter 3
A Civil Servant, identified as Lawen Bazing, has been gruesomely murdered by suspected tricycle robbers in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
It was gathered that the deceased boarded a commercial tricycle from the Mile Six area over the weekend to the popular De Crux Nite Club, just 300 metres away from where he was killed.
After alighting from the tricycle, the assailants were said to have attacked the civil servant, stabbed, and robbed him of his belongings before dumping him into a drainage channel, where his remains were discovered.
The Police Spokesman in the State Abdullahi Usman confirmed the incident. He admitted knowledge of the incident that a Civil Servant was killed but said detailed information had yet to be made available to the Command.
He said the Command would investigate the matter and apprehend the culprits.
The gruesome murder, which is not the first of its kind in the State Capital, comes a few months after a secondary school teacher, Bassey Sardauna, was stabbed to death by some secondary school students.
