Supreme Court Ruling Will Boost my Government, says Alia

Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State, has expressed his joy at the Supreme Court ruling.
He said the Supreme Court’s ruling would spur his government to take further action to advance Benue State.
According to a report early hours on Monday, 8 January 2024, the Supreme Court rejected the appeal filed by the People’s Democratic Party, and Titus Uba, the party’s nominee for Governor of Benue. Uba petitioned the Supreme Court for relief because he was unhappy with the rulings.
The gubernatorial election petition tribunal and the Abuja court of appeals upheld Hyacinth Alia’s victory as Benue State’s Governor.
Speaking to reporters in Abuja on Monday, 8 January 2024, Alia stated that the victory will inspire him to give the state his all.
Regardless of their political stance, he called on all residents of the State to come together and support its growth.

According to the report, Ali declared, “I am very excited”. Complete justice has been served. The state’s whole populace shares in the win. God is the leader, and this proves once again that justice is justice. We are happy that it has reached this stage. It will inspire us to carry out more fantastic deeds for the state. “We urge everyone to join us in advancing and developing the state.”
