Plane Crashes Near China Border

A Russian passenger plane carrying nearly 50 people crashed in the Amur region. Near the Chinese border on Thursday morning.
This was made known by Daily Trust on June 24, 2025.
According to Sky News, the aircraft, which carried passengers including five children and six crew members, crashed without a survivor.

The Reituers reported that the plane, operated by Angara Airlines was hovering around the destination of Tynda.
In the town in the Amur region, the air traffic control lost contact with the aircraft.
The plane disappeared during a second landing attempt. This was after an initial approach to Tynda Airport was unsuccessful. Russian news agency interface reports.
“Fifteen kilometres from Tynda, the wreckage of an An-24 was found on a slope. The plane was destroyed.” Interfax quoted the Russian emergencies ministry.
Efforts to rescue passengers are ongoing. Investigators will analyze flight data and cockpit recorders once they are found, it added.
According to the News agency TASS, a mistake during landing in poor visibility triggered the crash.
It caught fire during its descent, and no survivors were spotted during an aerial inspection of the site.TASS said.
“According to the director of Tynda Airport, the plane caught fire upon impact, and a Mi-8 helicopter crew flying over the area reported no signs of survivors,” the statement said.
Finally, Angara Airlines and local authorities are yet to ascertain the main cause of the crash.
