UNIPORT Mandates New Student ID Cards for SUG Elections and Exams

THE University of Port Harcourt has directed all students to obtain new student ID cards, which will be mandatory for Students’ Union Government elections and exams.
According to a notice signed by Prof. C.C. Wokocha, Dean of the Student Affairs Department, students are required to collect their new ID cards on or before August 8, 2025.
The new ID cards will be available at the New Convocation Arena for the sum of ₦1,000. Students who fail to obtain the new ID cards may not participate in SUG elections or exams. Which could disrupt their academic activities.
The university emphasizes that the new ID cards are essential for enhancing student identification and verification processes.
