6 Suspected Kidnappers Arrested In Kaduna,p9

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 6 suspected kidnappers and recovered firearms.

This was disclosed by Leadership newspaper on July 27, 2025.

The apprehension followed a coordinated police operation. Across parts of the Kaduna and Zamfara States.

The PPRO statement reads.

“The breakthrough was achieved through a swift response to a distress report lodged in February.
DSP Hassan also stated that a resident of Jema’a LGA lodged a report. After his son’s abduction. Who’s identified as Hussaini Ibrahim.

Meanwhile, after receiving the report, police operatives from Kafanchan Division rushed to the scene.  They launched a manhunt for the kidnappers.

However,  the suspects escaped initially, and the police rescued the victim two days later from a nearby bush.

The victim had gunshot injuries on his leg, which were treated at a clinic. He was then reunited with his family.

Subsequently, the PPRO said investigations led to the arrest of four suspects. All residents of Jagindi Tasha and Gidan Waya.

They are identified as Umar Yusuf Jabiri, 30 years; Buhari Muhammad a.k.a. “General”, 31; Ahmadu Nasiru, 51, and Zakari Saleh, 50.

He disclosed that police operatives recovered one AK-47 rifle and three locally fabricated versions from the suspects.

Detectives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit get credible intelligence. CSP Sani Zuntu leads them. Meanwhile, they intercept a suspicious waybill on July 23, 2025.

The consignment comes from Jos, Plateau State. It goes to Gusau in Zamfara State. It has a fabricated AK-47 rifle in a sack.

“A follow-up operation led to the arrest of two suspects, Abdulmumin Sani and Naziru Musa, in Gusau, where they had reportedly gone to receive the illegal weapon.

“The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged in court upon conclusion of investigations,” the Command’s spokesperson revealed.
