Families of deceased officers get N10.9m in Katsina

Police Command in Katsina State disbursed a total of N10.9 million to the families of officers who died in active service.

Group Life Assurance and the IGP’s Family Welfare Scheme presented cheques to 34 beneficiaries. Who are the next of kin of deceased officers on Thursday, July 25.

Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Aminu Gusau represented the Commissioner of Police.

This was disclosed by Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, on Friday in Katsina. While commending the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

“The CP appreciated the IGP for his unflinching dedication to the welfare of police officers and urged the beneficiaries to see the gesture as a tribute to the sacrifices made by their loved ones. He prayed for the repose of their souls and encouraged the beneficiaries to utilise the funds wisely.”
