FUOYE Denies Sahara Reporters’ Claims Against Pro-Chancellor, VC

The management of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) in Ekiti State has refuted what it described as the “barefaced lies and misinformation” against its University officials

This was made known by the independent Newspaper, Nigeria, on August 23, 2025.

In a statement, Registrar Mr. Mufutau Ibrahim questioned why Sahara Reporters ignores FUOYE’s achievements and rapid growth, yet quickly spreads falsehoods about the widely admired University.

The university management was shocked that Sahara Reporters claimed a legal luminary like Ndoma-Egba — with 47 years at the Bar, 21 as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and eight years as Deputy Senate Leader and Senate Leader — drafted and presented the 2011 bills that created FUOYE and its peers, yet ‘does not appear to understand the University Establishment Act.

The University remained focused on managing its growth and strengthening the FUOYE standard. The management dismissed the baseless allegations and lies in the misleading report targeting Pro-Chancellor Ndoma-Egba and VC Fasina.
