Glenville State University Hosts Columbian Club of Clarksburg

The President of Glenville State University, Dr. Mark A. Manchin, welcomed members of the Columbian Club of Clarksburg to campus with a reception on Monday, August 25, in celebration of their longstanding support of the University.

The Columbian Club members toured the developing campus and were joined by members of the Pioneer football team.

Dr. Manchin emphasized the decades-long bond with the Columbian Club, built on mutual respect, tradition, and support.

“It is always an honor to welcome the Columbian Club,” Manchin said. “Their continued generosity and encouragement mean so much to our University. My family’s history with the Club is one of friendship and shared values, and I am proud to continue that legacy here at GSU.”

The Columbian Club’s support of Glenville State reflects its lasting impact on education and commitment to community service.

“The Columbian Club embodies strong community leadership and service,” Manchin said. “Their dedication to education and civic engagement has improved opportunities for young people across West Virginia. We’re proud to call them a friend of Glenville State.”
