Prof Wokocha Reprimands Student, Calls for Peaceful Sign-Out

THE Dean of Student Affairs, Prof Chima Wokocha, has called on the final year students to maintain peace and order during their upcoming sign-out.
He disclosed this while addressing UCJ and some student executives in various faculties on Monday.
According to the Dean, students could get drunk, become violent, and even drive recklessly in their overloaded exotic cars, thereby wreaking havoc in the school premises. As such, they must deceit from any misconduct and immoral behavior that might jeopardize the long-standing peace and order in Uniport.
Some Universities, like UNIZIK, have witnessed violence and abuse in their signing-out process that pushed their management to ban the signing-out tradition.
Prof Wokocha is not banning the sign-out tradition in Uniport, but he has sent words that final year students should avoid getting drunk, bringing exotic cars to school premises, or displaying any immoral act that could cause mayhem.
According to him any student found abusing the rites of passage (sign out) will face the law
