Chelsea Ready to Sign Ramirez for Club-record Fee
By Reporter 3
Chelsea Women are working on a deal to sign Mayra Ramirez from Levante for a club-record fee.
The 24-year-old has impressed at the Spanish Club, scoring six goals in seven league games this season.
Last term, the Colombian netted 14 times.
Chelsea are considering bringing a striker this window after Sam Kerr suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury.
Kerr suffered the injury during a warm-weather training camp in Morocco earlier this month.
Ramirez is set to become Chelsea’s most expensive signing, surpassing the £250,000 fee paid for Pernille Harder from Wolfsburg in 2020.
