The armed bandits threatening the peace of residents in parts of Benue State have carried out another deadly attack in three communities in Entekpa Ward, Adoka District of Otukpo Local Government Area of the State.

It was gathered that the attack, which happened on Sunday night, 4th February 2024 claimed at least seven lives.

According to locals, an unspecified number of persons are still missing in the affected communities, including Iwili, Umogidi, and Opaha in Entekpa Ward.

Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Alfred Oketa Omakwu stated that security operatives recovered the seven bodies on Tuesday, 6th February 2024.

Efforts by newsmen to reach Benue State Police Command were unsuccessful as the spokesperson, Catherine Anene, could not take her calls.
