Sunak Wishes Catherine, Princess Of Wales a Speedy Recovery.
Following Catherine, Princess of Wales’ announcement on Friday, 22 March 2024, that she has cancer and is undergoing Chemotherapy, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wished her a “full and speedy recovery.”
During this trying period, Sunak expressed his “thoughts” and prayers to the Princess, her heir apparent William, and their three children.
In a statement, the Leader of the Conservative Party said, “The Princess of Wales has the love and support of the whole country as she continues her recovery.”
The well-known Kate claimed that the cancer was found following a successful stomach surgery in January.
The 42-year-old princess stated that although it was “a huge shock,” she was “well and getting stronger daily.”
“The entire nation is behind the Princess of Wales in her recovery efforts, offering her love and support.” Sunak stated, “She displayed incredible guts today with her statement.”
After her surgery, Kate had been “subjected to intense scrutiny and has been unfairly treated by certain sections of the media around the world and on social media,” he continued.
“Like everyone else, she should have the solitude to attend to her medical needs and spend time with her devoted family.”
In closing, he said, “I know I speak for the entire country when I wish her a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back in action when she’s ready.”
