Moses Simon Undergoes Surgery

Moses Simon, Super Eagles winger, underwent successful surgery on his fractured left leg on Friday, 29 March 2024. Simon sustained the injury in Nigeria’s 2-0 friendly defeat to the Eagles of Mali on Tuesday night, 26 March 2024.
He collided with Mali goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa in the first half and had to be stretchered off the pitch. His French club, Nantes, disclosed that he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Simon is expected to begin his rehabilitation process after the surgery. He has registered three goals for Nantes this season.
