Troops Neutralize Six Hoodlums in Kaduna Village

The Nigerian troops has neutralized six bandits and retrieved rifles and ammunition in Birnin Gwari LGA. The overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwanan said, “operational feedback noted that the troops of Sector 4 Operation Whirl Punch and the 198 Special Forces Battalion conducted the special operations in Birnin Gwari LGA in response to precise intelligence on terrorist activities in the area.”
According to reports, the forces began their operation by successfully clearing hot spots in Maidaro, Ngade Alha, Dogon Dawa, Damari, Saulawa, Farin Ruwa, Maganda, Sabon Layi, and Kampanin Doka villages. When the army arrived in Saulawa, they made contact with the bandits, and two of them were quickly neutralized. One motorcycle and a Baofeng radio set were retrieved. “The troops made further contact with bandits at Farin Ruwa, where four enemy fighters were neutralized in the ensuing firefight.”
The forces swept the area and discovered one GPMG, two AK47 rifles, six AK47 magazines, one FN rifle magazine, twenty-two rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, fifty-one rounds of 7.62 special ammunition, and a motorcycle, according to the statement.
Senator Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, congratulated the troops, led by Force Commander, Operation Whirl Punch and General Officer Commanding, One Division Nigerian Army, Major General MLD Saraso, for another remarkable outing and notable breakthrough in the push against banditry in the flashpoint location.
The Governor hailed the victory as another instance of the forces and the Government’s ability to work together effectively. He urged the troops to continue their relentless march toward the heart of the criminals’ protected areas.
