Edo guber – Okpebholo Declares, “I will run an inclusive Government”
By Reporter 2
Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress Governorship candidate in Edo State, has promised to run an inclusive administration if elected on September 21, 2024.
Okpebholo made the statement on the sidelines of the Niger Delta Development Commission’s flag-off of a medical mission in Akamkpa, Cross River, on Monday, 17 June 2024. The Senator who represents Edo Central in the 10th Assembly and serves on the Senate Committee on NDDC has also stated that he will take a bottom-up approach to administering the State’s affairs.
According to him, his administration will be practical, as opposed to what is currently available in State governance. “It will be a governance that the people can relate with, a true people’s Government in the real sense,” he added.
The APC candidate, who lamented the absence of infrastructure development in Edo’s 18 Local Government Areas, promised to re-enact Adams Oshiomhole’s infrastructure revolution. He stated that an emergency would be declared on the State’s roads, schools, and healthcare infrastructure.
We are prepared for it. We will take a comprehensive strategy to repair the dilapidated roads, schools, and health infrastructure that have been neglected.
“If the Obaseki administration had built on the work of Adams Oshiomhole’s government, Edo would have been competing with a State like Lagos in terms of development. Our objective is to get started right away and make Edo a better place. A place we can truly call our own, a place that everyone will be delighted to visit,” he remarked.
