Prime Suspect in Rivers State Explosion Found in ICU
By Reporter 2
The prime suspect in the explosion that shook Port Harcourt, the State Capital, on Tuesday, 25 June 2024, has been found, according to Adaeze Oreh, the River State Commissioner for Health. The Commissioner reported that the suspect was discovered at the former Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMH), now known as the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
She stated that the hospital’s medical staff informed the State Government yesterday night about a patient who had been reported as a road traffic accident victim but had injuries thought to be caused by a bomb. She added that after being carried to the State Government facility in a semi-conscious state, the suspect was promptly brought into the theater to undergo resuscitation.
According to Dr. Oreh, the suspect’s condition is currently stable. To help the Police and the Rivers State Government settle the situation, the hospital’s grounds have been completely secured.
“After receiving the call from the doctors last night, the commissioner spoke with reporters at the hospital’s Old GRA location, which is close to the Rivers State Government House. An individual lost their life in the blast, according to Channels Television. When our reporter visited the location, she noticed some tiny dents in the concrete curb and faded blood stains all over the place.
“Operators of the Bureau de Change gathered in this area, and several of them claimed to have heard explosions but would not speak. Nonetheless, one eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous claimed the victim’s chest was ripped open by the hit.”
