The Peoples Democratic Party‘s National Working Committee has approved the formation of new Governorship Election National Campaign Councils in preparation for the Edo and Ondo State elections. The inauguration will occur on Thursday, July 27, 2024, to ensure victory in the forthcoming elections.

This was revealed in a statement made accessible to the press and signed by National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, to the party on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. The message reads, “PDP to inaugurate Governorship Election National Campaign Councils in Edo and Ondo State tomorrow, June 27, 2024.”

The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the exercise of its powers and under its commitment to ensuring victory for our Party at the upcoming Governorship Elections in Edo and Ondo States, has approved the establishment of Edo and Ondo State Governorship Election National Campaign Councils as follows:

Venue: NEC Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja

Time: 2 pm Prompt.

All leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the Edo and Ondo State Governorship Election National Campaign Councils should take note and be guided accordingly.

The Governorship elections in Edo and Ondo States are scheduled between September 21st and November 16th, 2024. Meanwhile, Asue Ighodalo emerged as a PDP candidate in Edo State earlier this year, while Ajayi Agboola won the PDP primary in Ondo State.
