Rhys Bennett, a Manchester United defender, has left the club to join Fleetwood Town on loan.

The Red Devils made this known in a statement on their website ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

A statement by Man United partly reads: “Best of luck, Rhys, we’ll be following your progress closely!”

Bennett is expected to make his debut for Fleetwood in Saturday’s game at AFC Wimbledon.

The 20-year-old was included in Man United manager Erik ten Hag’s pre-season USA tour.
