The University of Port Harcourt honored 363 first-class Graduates on July 23, 2025.
This was disclosed by UCJ Uniport.
Uniport celebrated academic excellence by hosting a special dinner to honor first-class graduates. And students with distinctions in Medicine and Professional non-classified degrees.
The event, held at the Vice Chancellor’s lodge, was organized by Vice Chancellor Prof. Owunari Georgewill. It symbolized honor for the outstanding achievements of the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 graduating sessions.
The dinner served as a platform to recognize the hard work and determination of the students.
One graduate, Michael from the Computer Science department, shared his joy, stating, “It wasn’t so easy, but at last my determination and hard work paid off. Thanks to the Vice Chancellor for this amazing gesture that won’t be forgotten.”
Prof. Georgewill eulogized the graduates for their exceptional performance during their training and encouraged them to go out into the world and make a difference.
The event was a day of merriment, filled with inspiration and optimism, as the Vice Chancellor wished the students the best in their future endeavors.
