Adamu Garba Describes Peter Obi as a Worthy Statesman.

Adamu Garba, a chieftain of the APC, has publicly declared that he will no longer criticise Peter Obi. Whom he described as a “worthy statesman.”

This was made known by the Daily Post on July 27, 2025.

Garba confessed to being one of Obi’s most vocal critics during the 2023 general elections. He revealed this on his X account.

However, Garba admitted he has come to admire the former Anambra State governor’s resilience. And political relevance even in opposition.

“Nobody attacked @PeterObi during the last election like I did. But to some significant degree, he can reorganise and make himself shockingly endearing to many.

“Even in the opposition, I’ll no longer attack him like I did before, because he came to me as a worthy statesman,” Garba wrote.

“Obi came third in the 2023 presidential election. According to Daily Post, he still enjoys significant support. Both from Nigerian youth and civil society groups.”

Obi is known for his consistent advocacy of good governance, accountability, and economic reform.
