Demola Olarewaju, the Special Assistant to former PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar on Digital Media Strategy, has criticized President Bola Tinubu‘s selection of Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in his midterm cabinet restructuring.

Olarenwaju issued a warning, stating that Bianca has no electoral worth and will not assist Tinubu in winning votes from the Southeast in 2027. He explained that the nomination of Bianca as a minister was a political ploy to gain favor while Tinubu made other preparations for the elections.

“There is not a single sane Obidient voter in the SE who will switch to BAT for Bianca Ojukwu’s sake,” Olarenwaju wrote in a statement on his X page.

“First and foremost, realize that Tinubu is nothing, if not political,” the message partially states. “His actions are always motivated by power. If he is against subsidies in 2012, then he has authority. Power is the reason he might uphold it in 2024.

“To appease Yoruba ethnocentrists, he can say “Yoruba Ronu,” but if needed, he can also add “One Nigeria.” I doubt that man has had even one true friendship in the last thirty years unless there is some political advantage or leverage to be obtained.

“In terms of the SE’s political structure, Bianca is a “nobody.” However, keep in mind that the APC now has two governors in two states in the Southeast, all three senators from Ebonyi, two from Imo, and one from Abia, where Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu hails from, and Abia, where a Bola Tinubu University of Nigerian Languages may soon be established.

Recall that Bola Tinubu/APC received more votes in the SE than Atiku Abubakar/PDP due to the belief that ” it is the turn of South, let Tinubu have it, not Obi, but not a Fulani.”

“There is no chance that Bianca will influence any voters, but she won’t have to. She is merely a component of a bigger scheme to justify APCNEC (APC/INEC) rigging.”
