I look forward for a cordial Relationship – Biden tells new UK PM

President Joe Biden of the United States has conveyed his willingness to work and have a good working relationship with the new Prime Minister (PM) of the United Kingdom (UK) Keir Starmer. Biden communicated his readiness to bolster the relationship between the US and UK under Starmer’s tenure.
The US President stated this in a post on his X page while congratulating Starmer on his emergence as PM. According to Biden: “Congratulations to Prime Minister Keir Starmer on becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
“I look forward to our shared work in support of freedom and democracy around the world, and to further strengthening the special relationship between our two countries.”
Starmer, who was the Labour Party candidate, was elected into office on Thursday, July 4, 2024, after reaching the required 326 parliamentary seats.
While addressing a large crowd in Central London after his victory, Starmer said: “We did it; change begins now. It feels good; I have to be honest.”
In his reaction to the defeat, the outgoing Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, said he takes responsibility for the loss of the Conservative Party.
