Tinubu swears in Walson-Jack as the new Head of Service

Didi Esther Walson-Jack has been sworn in as the new Head of Civil Service of the Federation by President Bola Tinubu. The swearing-in took place on Monday, August 12, 2024, before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting at the State House Abuja.
Recall that President Tinubu approved the appointment of Walson-Jack as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, on August 14, 2024.
Before her appointment, she served as the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education. She was appointed Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017 and has served in several ministries.
An earlier statement from the presidency had indicated that Walson-Jack would take over from the outgoing Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, who is due to retire on August 13, 2024.
