Aisha Yesufu, a Social-political activist has lampooned the FCT Minister and former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, describing him as a “village champion.”

Yesufu said that Wike thinks Abuja is Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital, where he served as governor for eight years and people tremble at the mention of his name.

“Wike thinks Abuja is Port Harcourt, where he was a local champion and everyone shook at the mention of his name!” Yesufu wrote on her X handle.

DAILY POST reported that a socio-political critic, Martins Ortse, aka VeryDarkMan, had recently lambasted Wike, who is the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), over the demolition of the Ruga community.

VeryDarkMan stated that Wike should relocate those whose houses were demolished in the Ruga community.

Reacting to Wike’s remark, the social critic said displacing over “10,000 people will further cause security issues” in the FCT.

It was reported that Wike had previously ordered a task force codenamed “Operation Sweep,” to demolish Ruga and other communities within the nation’s capital to clear the city of perceived nuisances and criminal activities.

Following the demolition, Wike explained that the action was aimed at sanitizing and securing the FCT.
