Israel-Hamas War: Explosion Kills Senior Hamas Leader in Beirut

The Deputy Head of Hamas, Saleh al-Arouri, and two other leaders have been confirmed dead in an explosion that occurred in Lebanon on Tuesday, 2nd January 2024. As a result of the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. This was made known on the official Telegram Channel of the group.

The circumstances in which they died was described as a “Zionist raid” in a Suburb of Beirut, the Lebanese Capital.

The U.S. officials attested that Israel was responsible for the strike, in connection to the deadly 7th October 2023 attack that killed 1,200 people.

Lebanese State Media said that six people had been killed in the Israel-Hamas war explosion. The blast occurred at about 6 pm local time, according to Lebanon’s Civil Defense agency.

The Office of Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, did not respond to a request for comment at the time of filling this report.
